The saddest aspect to the ‘stolen generation’ the UK children relocated to Canada, Australia, Rhodesia is that the so called ‘Empire’ was built on the blood, sweat, tears of the children of the poor of the ‘Empire’ and the wholesale rape and pillage of Indigenous peoples’ lands, rights, identity. The same continues in present day child trafficking and child slavery in sweatshops of China, Bangladesh, Thailand etc. All in pursuit of the betterment of the rich. We do NOT learn from history.

Very sad but moving! It was a shame that Britain didn’t organise themselves to provide the best for unfortunate kids rather than sending them over to many countries so far away and giving away misleading information to kids and parents about their whereabouts. Some kids were lucky but unfortunately there are some that experienced a living nightmare. I hope all of migrants now here found peace and discovered where they are from etc. Pleased that Brown has apologised – that at least he should do! Need to give more support to those who are still lost or confused.

Really enjoyed it. Very inspiring and informative. Sad, happy and must have been hard in those days for these people. Work, fitting in and starting over in a strange land. We are SO lucky we have what we have and we need to appreciate our families.

Nice, quiet and inquisitive. It is a great way to teach the young ones of this generation about history and historic events. Thank you very much.

Finally many sad stories have been heard. As a migrant myself I believe that Australian white policy was only focused on power.
