My goodness how lucky are we to never have endured such an existence.

I started the journey through this exhibition with anger and disgust having heard and read a bit about child migration and towards the end of the exhibition, my feelings settled, somewhat, realising other perspectives as to the reasons of child emigration because of overcrowding problems and poverty in Britain and the “good intentions” of the government to send children to a better life. I wish their good intentions were backed up with good realities, good treatment and experiences for the children at least even if sadly taken away from their families but following some heart wrenching stories of the children and some that found the voyage exciting and rose above negative experiences this has given me the strength and inspiration to rise above my past and “make it” despite it all. Thank you for the inspiration.
