I believe you could have made more of the abusive nature of migration: parents were not told that their kids had been sent to Australia; most believed they had been adopted in Britain. Children were routinely abused in some "orphanages" especially Bindoon, where the principal & founder, Fr Frank Keaney, has been denounced in Parliament (Australian) as a bestial paedophile. Abuse here was certainly systematic and not occasional. I rather dispute your assertion that the word "orphan" ever meant anything but "orphan." Hardly any of these kids were in fact orphans.

It is wonderful to see an exhibit like these remembering and honouring the children in these institutions - for they suffered a great deal and deserve the recognition.
